'Twas The Night Before Christmas - JNC Christmas Eve!

There’s something about Christmas Eve that feels sacred to me. It’s a night meant for connection—family, friends, laughter, and a shared sense of anticipation. That’s exactly why Jams ’N’ Cocktails Live has become one of my favorite traditions of the entire year. This episode wasn’t about perfection. It was about vibes. And let me tell you… the vibes were festive, slightly unhinged, and heavily bourbon-adjacent.

We kicked things off the only way that makes sense around here: holiday fits, questionable jokes, and the Destruction Crew locked in and ready to go. The plan was simple—hang out, drink together, play some games, and track Santa as he made his way around the world. What actually happened was a perfect Christmas Eve cocktail of technical gremlins, viral chaos, big laughs, and moments that reminded me why I love doing this show every single week.

A Festive Start (and a Dangerous Shot)

No Christmas Eve episode is complete without a Shot of the Week, and this year we introduced the Snowshoe Shot. Bourbon for warmth, peppermint schnapps for chaos, and just enough holiday spirit to make you forget wrapping gifts was ever supposed to be relaxing. It’s festive, it’s deceptive, and it tastes like kissing a candy cane that makes poor life choices.

Naturally, we took it straight to the bar, because nothing fixes technical issues faster than alcohol—scientifically proven (probably). The results? Mixed reactions, minty aftershocks, and at least one person sipping a shooter like it was a full cocktail. Respect.

Tracking Santa… Government-Approved 🎅

One of my favorite parts of the night was keeping tabs on Santa using the NORAD Santa Tracker. There’s something incredibly comforting about knowing that radar systems, satellites, and fighter jets are all working together so kids (and grown adults like us) can see exactly where Santa is at any given moment.

Between drinks and games, we checked in throughout the night—watching him rack up billions of gifts delivered while racing toward Florida. It felt official. Festive. Slightly absurd. Exactly on brand.

Christmas Music Trivia & Absolute Confidence

We put our holiday knowledge to the test with a Christmas-themed Name That Tune, and I’ve never seen confidence soar so high so quickly. Bruce Springsteen? Eartha Kitt? The Jackson 5? Nailed it. Newer cuts? Slightly shakier. But that’s the beauty of Christmas music—there are a million versions, and everyone swears their version is the right one.

The trash talk flowed. The whiteboard markers failed us. The energy stayed high. And somehow, despite everything, we absolutely crushed it.

Captain Cocktail Saves the Day 🍸

Just when things started to feel extra chaotic, Captain Cocktail stepped in with a holiday miracle: the Autumn Apple Gin Spritzer. Gin, lemon juice, spiced apple cider, ginger beer, nutmeg, and fresh apple slices—simple, refreshing, and dangerously easy to drink.

It landed somewhere between a mule and a holiday candle you wish you could drink. Fresh, festive, and instantly added to the “keep this forever” list. Honestly? A Christmas Eve MVP moment.

Words on Beat: A Cautionary Tale

If you’ve seen the viral game Words on Beat, you already know where this is going. If you haven’t… imagine trying to say random words perfectly on rhythm while holiday music plays and your friends laugh directly in your face.

It was chaos. It was loud. It was humbling. Shoes came off. Focus was lost. Words like “butter,” “bird,” and “bubble” became impossible. At one point, I genuinely questioned my ability to speak English.

Was it clean? No.Was it controlled? Absolutely not.Was it hilarious? Without question.

The Jordy Files: Holiday Edition

No Christmas Eve show would be complete without The Jordy Files, serving up celebrity birthdays, surprise baby news, feel-good generosity, and just enough chaos to keep us guessing. From unexpected celebrity updates to heartfelt stories of giving back, it added a nice balance to the madness—a reminder that the holidays are about more than just drinks and games.

(But also… they are about drinks and games.)

Gifts, Gratitude & One Timeless Tradition

As the night wound down, we shared Christmas Eve gifts, laughed through wrapping disasters, and soaked in that quiet, cozy feeling that only hits once the house starts to settle. Then came my favorite moment of the year: reading ’Twas the Night Before Christmas.

No matter how wild the night gets, that reading grounds everything. It’s tradition. It’s comfort. It’s Christmas.

And honestly? Reading it live, in that moment, with friends, drinks, and laughter still hanging in the air—it hit differently this year.

Final Thoughts from the Lounge

This episode wasn’t polished. It wasn’t perfect. But it was real, warm, and full of heart—and that’s exactly what Christmas Eve should be.

If you spent even a few minutes hanging out with us, thank you. Truly. And if you’re catching this after the fact, I hope it feels like pulling up a chair, pouring a drink, and joining the party—because that’s always the goal here.

If you enjoyed the episode, rate, follow, share, and leave us a review. And don’t miss our upcoming New Year’s Eve live show—because if Christmas Eve was this chaotic, New Year’s is going to be something special.

From all of us at the JNC Lounge—Merry Christmas, take care of each other, and we’ll see you soon. 🥂🎄
