“Karma is the thunder, rattling the ground”: Taylor Swift fans cause earthquake in Seattle

TAS RIGHTS MANAGEMENT

Guess what? Taylor Swift's concert in Seattle was so amazing that it actually caused an earthquake! Can you believe it? The fans were so excited and energetic that they made the ground shake. It was like they had superpowers!

According to a geology professor named Jackie Caplan-Auerbach, all the jumping and screaming caused a 2.3 magnitude earthquake. That's even bigger than the earthquake caused by fans at a football game a few years ago. They called it the "Beast Quake" because the fans went wild when their team scored a touchdown. But Taylor's earthquake was even stronger!

It's really cool because scientists were able to figure out which songs Taylor was playing just by looking at the earthquake patterns. They used a special machine called a sonogram to see the seismic activity. The ground shook the most during songs like "Blank Space" and "Shake It Off." Those are some of her most popular songs, so it makes sense that they caused the most excitement.

Taylor had two concerts in Seattle, and she performed for over 144,000 fans! That's a lot of people. In fact, it broke a record for the most people at a concert in that stadium. Taylor is a superstar!

The geology professor, Caplan-Auerbach, is even planning to measure the earthquake activity when Beyoncé performs at the same stadium in September. It will be interesting to see if Beyoncé's fans can create an even bigger earthquake. I can't wait to find out!
