Goose says it was devastated to learn that a fan had died during its Madison Square Garden concert. The band honored Paul Kueker at its next performance. 💔

Goose has paid tribute to concertgoer Paul Kueker following a fatal incident during the band’s concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Police say the 51-year-old Connecticut man suffered fatal injuries after falling from an elevated section inside the arena on June 20, 2026. He was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have said that foul play is not suspected.

Goose said the band and crew were devastated to learn about the tragedy after leaving the stage.

The following evening, the band proceeded with its scheduled Central Park SummerStage concert after considering whether to cancel. Goose said it hoped the performance could bring the fan community together and provide a space for healing. Proceeds were directed toward support and resources for fans.

💬 Have you ever felt unsafe while sitting in the upper levels of a large arena?

Radio initially ignored Jewel’s first song. Then Bob Dylan told her not to give up. 🎸

Jewel wrote “Who Will Save Your Soul,” the first song of her career, while traveling and street singing as a teenager.

Unable to afford the trip home to Alaska during a school break, Jewel set out on her own and supported herself by busking. The people and culture she observed during the journey inspired the stream-of-consciousness lyrics that became “Who Will Save Your Soul.”

When the song was eventually released from her debut album, Pieces of You, commercial radio initially showed little interest in Jewel’s sensitive folk sound during an era dominated by grunge.

After extensive touring—including an invitation to open for Bob Dylan—the song gained momentum, reached the Billboard Top 20 and earned Jewel a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Pieces of You ultimately became one of the most successful debut albums of its era.

“Busted, down on Bourbon Street” wasn’t just a lyric. It was a real night in Grateful Dead history. ⚡🌹

The Grateful Dead’s classic song “Truckin’” was inspired by the band’s real experiences traveling and performing across the country.

One of its most famous lines—“Busted, down on Bourbon Street”—referred to a 1970 incident in New Orleans, when police searched the band’s hotel rooms and arrested several members on drug charges.

Lyricist Robert Hunter incorporated the episode into a larger autobiographical song about the Grateful Dead’s unpredictable life on the road. Released on the 1970 album American Beauty, “Truckin’” became one of the group’s signature songs and gave rock music the enduring phrase, “What a long, strange trip it’s been.”

Days before sentencing, his attorney attempted to withdraw the guilty plea, arguing that Mystikal had not been given enough time to consider its consequences. The judge rejected that request.

Mystikal previously pleaded guilty to sexual battery in 2003 and served six years in prison. He will be required to continue complying with sex-offender registration requirements following his release.

After representing Trinidad and Tobago internationally as a teenager, he built a remarkable career performing and recording with artists including Jimmy Buffett, John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Ringo Starr, Carly Simon, Robert Palmer, Steve Perry, Earth, Wind & Fire, Grover Washington Jr., and Taj Mahal. He was also a celebrated composer and arranger, leading Desperadoes Steel Orchestra to Panorama victories in 1991 and 1994 with his own compositions.
